我们在英语中，常常会遇到something这个单词，something的基本意思是“某物，某事“，常用于肯定句中，也可用于征求对方意见的疑问句中。

something是什么代词

不定代词。something是一个不定代词，和anything，nothing，everything都是同一类词。指的是不确定所指对象是什么的代词，所以叫不定代词。但这一类不定代词都有一个共同点，就是都代替物thing.既然是不定代词，那么，它们就可能代替任何事物， 而且既可能指代具体的事物，也可能指代抽象的事物。

something的用法

1、作为代词，意为某物；某事；想来重要（或值得注意）的事物；（表示不确切的描述或数量）大致，左右。

some和后缀-thing、-body、-one构成合成词，即，something、somebody和someone它们的用法跟some的用法基本相同。

3.someone的意思是“某人”，一般在句子当中用作主语，表语，宾语等。比如：Someone was screaming for help.

someone也可以用作表语。比如：

That must be someone from government.那一定是从政府来的人。

someone可在句中作宾语。比如：

I need someone to help me.我需要有人帮我。
