when与where。

in which引导定语从句，根据句义，可以等于when表示当...时候；也可以等于where表示地点。

例句：

I'll never forget these days in which I stayed with you.

= I'll never forget these days when I stayed with you.

我永远不会忘记我和你待在一起的日子。

This is the city in which I stayed last year.

This is the city where I stayed last year.

这就是那个去年我待的地方。

in which与where的区别：

1、当先行词是表地点, in which与where是相等的。

The house where I live is beautibul.

=The house in which I live is beautibul.

在这种情况中，若in提前,只能用which，就不能用where。

例如：The house in( which ) I live is beautibul.

再如：The house ( which ) I live in is beautibul.

2、当定语从句带有不定式时，只能用 “in+which” 不能用 where。

I live in a house in which to spend my rest life. 

不能用 I live in a house where to spend my rest life.

in which与when的区别：

1、当我们需要描述一个事件发生的时间时，通常使用When。

例如：

I remember the day when I first met her.

我记得我第一次见到她的那天。

Can you tell me when the concert will start?

你能告诉我音乐会什么时候开始吗？

2、而当我们需要描述一个地点或场所时，通常使用In which。

例如：

This is the office in which I work.

这是我工作的办公室。

Can you show me the room in which the meeting will be held?

这就是要举行会议的房间吗？
