besides的用法和位置

在英语中，besides的词性较多，既可以做介词，表示除…之外；也可以做副词，是况且，再说，此外；以及的意思。

besides的用法和位置：

1、besides用作副词的意思是“而且，还有”，引出另一个情况，以作补充。可用于句首、句尾，也可用于句中，常常用逗号或分号与句子的其他成分隔开。

2、besides用作介词的意思是除…之外，用在肯定句中指更进一步的拥有，即包括besides后所列的内容在内；用在否定句或疑问句中则指只有besides所包括的内容，即“除…之外(不或没有)。

3、besides后除可接名词外，还可接动名词，在动词do后还可接不带to的动词不定式。

4、当besides用在否定句中时，表示除……以外不再有……。

besides的用法例句：

The second-hand iPhone he bought was almost new; besides, it was in excellent condition. 

他买那个二手iPhone几乎是新的，而且运行状况很不错。

There is nothing on the table besides a disk. 

桌上只有一个盘子。

Besides that he drove the car, he repaired it on the way to Tibet.

他不仅驾驶了这辆车，而且在去西藏的途中还对它进行了修理。

All of them went to Tibet last year besides Tom.

besides与beside的区别：

1、Beside 是介词，表物理方位 “在…旁边”，相当于更正式一点的 “next to”。

例句：

Put the chair beside the table.

把椅子放在桌子旁边。

Come and sit beside me.

过来坐在我旁边。

2、Besides作介词用时，意思为 “除了…之外，还/且”，类似于 “as well as”。

例句：

Besides knowing grammar well, you need to have a good vocabulary.

除了掌握好语法，你还需要有一个好的词汇量。

You should do something else besides studying.

除了学习你应该做点别的。

3、Besides作副词用时，意思为 此外，况且，通常用来添加更重要或更强烈的观点，相当于不那么正式的moreover。

例句：

I'm going to practise now because I've got time and besides, I need to!

我现在要练习因为我有时间而且我需要！

I want to go and lie down. Besides, I have a headache.

我想去躺会儿再说我头疼。

besides、except、 except for、but、apart from的用法区别：

1、besides 意为“除...之外(还有)”，包括后面所提及的人或物，相当于 in addition to。

例句：

We like biology besides English.

 除了英语外，我们还喜欢生物。

2、except 意为“除...之外(其他的都)”，不包括后面所提到的人或物。除名词、代词、动名词外，其后还可接副词、介词短语以及that，what，when，where等引导的从句。

例句：

Everyone is excited except me.

除了我以外每个人都很激动。

He is never late except when he is ill.

除了生病的时候，他从不迟到。

3、except for 意为“除...之外”，表示排除的部分与前面内容不属于同一类，着重对个别状况的补充说明。

例句：

His composition is good except for some spelling mistakes.

他的作文写得很好，只是有些拼写错误。

4、but 意为“除...之外”，相当于except，多与nobody，none，no one， nothing，anything，everyone，all，to do等连用；接不定式做宾语（多用but），前有实义动词do时，不定式中的to省略。

例句：

He did nothing but play all day long.

她整天除了玩什么也不干。

5、apart from 即可相当于besides，也可相当于except或except for。

例句：

Apart from good service, the restaurant offers different kinds of traditional Fujian dishes.

除了优质的服务外，这个饭店还提供各种各样的传统福建菜。
